Do Your Meds Warn You of the Risks?

Posted by Scribeman01 on October 10th, 2007

I thank Dr. Phil Bate for sharing information on the requirement that the manufacturers of medications used to treat ADD and ADHD (ie Adderall, Concerta, Ritalin, etc.) must develop medication guides to warn of possible cardiovascular risks.

In February, U.S. Health officials specified in their letters issued to manufacturers that they must specifically outline the type/level of risks proportionate to the prescribed drug dosage.

Do you want to see how your medication is documented?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has a downloadable medication guides and labels (pdf format) for these medications.

Of course, alert your Medical Professional for any concerns, or changes in how you are feeling!
